Webculus To help you get the best estimate of your bandwidth needs that I have provided a simple tool:
Average Page Views x Average Page x Average Daily Visitors x number of days in a month (30) x safety factor = approximate bandwidth needs
Average daily visitors: The total number of users over a period of 30 days.
Average page size: The average size of a page in kilobytes. Be sure to include the actual page, in addition to associated images.
Average Page Views: The average number of pages viewed by each visitor. The band width requirements fluctuate based on number of pages each visitor navigates well.
Safety Factor: Ranges from 1.3 to 1.8. Add a safety factor in their estimate to account for items not included in the traffic.
It is important to include a good-sized buffer in the calculations. It is very disappointing to have your site slow or inaccessible due to the bandwidth limits is reached. You may be wondering how you’ll know when you are in need of more bandwidth. Many hosting providers available bandwidth used in the control panel that lets you control the amount of bandwidth used and adjust as necessary. Other signs of the limits of bandwidth that is available is your site loads slowly, at all, or charged extra.
With an understanding of how much bandwidth you might need to help you estimate the cost of bandwidth for your business and make sure you have plenty of bandwidth to allow all visitors to see your site. Consider the basic formula for estimating the needs of bandwidth, and the files that make up a web site will help minimize the shortage of bandwidth and customize their needs bandwidth.
